Albert J. Durbin Sr

Albert J. Durbin Sr., 75 Lowellville- Albert J. Durbin, Sr., 75, 338 Liberty Street formerly Struthers, died Sunday morning at the Caprice Health Care Center. Mr. Durbin was born March 23, 1927, in Lowellville a son of the late Richard and Anna Minteer Durbin. A 1947 graduate of Lowellville High School, and has been a lifelong area resident. An U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he worked for McBride Motors and for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, as a Babit Man retiring in 1983 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Lowellville United Methodist Church. Mr. Durbin leaves three daughters: Diana La Civita of Lordstown; Kathy and her husband Michael Woodbury of Ft. Knox, KY; Brenda Sawhill of Birmingham, AL; three sons: Albert Jr.; and Jeffrey both of Lowellville; and Gary Lee and his wife Becky of Youngstown; two sisters: Alberta Rodriguez of Fairfax, VA; and Dorothy Graziano of Struthers: and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife the former Mary K. Tice, whom he married March 1, 1957 and who died March 12, 2001, two brothers: Ralph and Richard; and three sisters: Clara Gautchi; Ruth Durbin; and June Morrow. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 PM, Tuesday, and again on Wednesday from 9 âa�" 9:45AM prior to the service.
