Albert S. Celec, DDS., 74 Poland- Albert S. Celec, DDS., 74, of 7357 Oak Dr. went home to be with the Lord Sunday October 2, 2005. Dr. Celec was born in Youngstown January 15, 1931, a son of Stephen J. and Katherine Yavorsky Celec. He was a 1948 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to attend Youngstown College. He graduated from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he served 2 years as an officer in the United States Army at Fort Knox. He returned to Youngstown to practice dentistry until his retirement in 1991. Along with having his own private practice, he was on staff and a board member of Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital. Dr. Celec, a 50 year member of the Corydon Palmer Dental Society, most recently returned to a part-time practice at the Ohio State Penitentiary Supermax in 2002. He enjoyed sailing, building RC model airplanes, attending musicals, and entertaining family and friends at poolside. He was the consummate joke teller and above all he loved being with his children and adored his grandchildren. His wife the former Jean M. Carabbia, whom he married August 8, 1953, died January 6, 1987. He will be sadly missed by his daughters; Dr. Debra J. (James Crowl) Celec of Bellville,OH; Donna M. (Doc) Klestinske of St. Louis, MO; by his son, Albert S. (Dr. Philip Ginnetti) Celec of Boardman; and by his daughters, Dr. MaryJean (Dr. Peter) Barnovsky of Cortland; and Jeanine M. Celec of Long Island, NY; a brother, Stephen F.(Caroline) Celec of North Carolina; a sister, Helen Sobas of Colorado; five grandchildren, John Barton, Jeff Klestinske; and Vincent, Isabella, and Sophia Barnovsky all of whom dearly loved their âa�A"papaâa�A�; and a companion, Joyce Vendely. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10:15AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 11AM at the St. Cyril and Methodius Church. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
