Lowellville - Agnes Marie Olson, 82, died Saturday morning, November 30, 2013 at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center in New Middletown.
Agnes was born April 24, 1931 in Lowellville, a daughter of John and Mary Paludetto Stefano.
She was a 1949 graduate of Lowellville High School. A homemaker, Agnes centered her life around her family and church.
She was an active member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville and often led the Rosary before Mass. In her spare time, Agnes enjoyed playing cards with friends and cooking for family and friends.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Gary) Slaven of Lowellville; four sons, Rex (Karen) Olson of Lowellville, David Olson of Morgantown, WV, Ted (Patricia) Olson of Lowellville, and John Olson of Lowellville; two sisters, Mary Sackin of Hillsville, PA and Lucy Barnhart of Austintown; two brothers, Albert Stefano of Oregon and Alfred (Rose) Stefano of Lowellville; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Olson; a great-grandchild, Courtney Tatar; three sisters, Rose Safara, infant Rose, and infant Rina Stefano; and three brothers, John, Tony, and infant Joseph Stefano.
A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
