Abel B. Candia, Sr. âa�" 86 Youngstownâa�"Abel B. Candia, Sr., 86 of Rutledge Dr, died Sunday evening at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1919 in Hondo, Texas a son of Lorenzo & Marie Vasquez Candia. Mr. Candia was retired from the military, and also retired from the Salem Republic Rubber. He was a member of the Youngstown Maennerchor, and the Youngstown VFW. He is survived by his wife, Heidi Candia whom he married December 11, 1965, three sons, Abel (Patty) Candia, Jr., of San Antonio TX., Alan (Ellen) Candia of Padre Island, TX., Christopher (Jackie) Candia of Rochester NY., two daughter, Mary (Paul) Lewis of San Antonio TX, and Evelyn (Arturo) Olaiz 12 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Rose Flores, and one brother Frank Candia. Services will be private.
